Something Blue

Blue ... we're just not that into it.

In fact, this may be the only blue flower on the property (excepting some preexisting, unidentified ground cover in the backyard).

Salvia guaranitica, variety "Black & Blue Sage."

It's black, and it's blue. And that's about all we've got to say about it.

Nice photos. The blue is particularly striking. Is it a bush or a ground cover?

Bush, shrub, take your pick. Tends to get leggy with stems so spindly that the flowers flop over. Cutting back after bloom is recommended to keep it compact and promote stronger stems.
